Chad Ringley, MD, FACS, Medical Director
Fellowship Trained / Board Certified
Dr. Ringley earned his medical degree from Indiana University's School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Manchester College. He completed his general surgery residency with Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals (now CMU College of Medicine) and is fellowship trained in advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery from the University of Nebraska's Medical Center. He routinely performs bariatric surgery and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Christian Medical and Dental Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Kimiko Sugimoto, MD
Dr. Sugimoto completed her general surgery residency with Synergy Medical Education Alliance in Saginaw. She earned her medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and her undergraduate degree from Hope College. She is Board Certified and is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Sugimoto is a missionary appointee for African Inland Mission. She has extensive international travel experience having done missions or training in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Costa Rica, Niger, Belize, Honduras, Kenya and Senegal.
Libby Palmer, Bariatric Program Administrator
Libby received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and has experience in both clinical and surgical nursing at Covenant HealthCare. She has also received her certification as a Bariatric Coach, Support Group Leader, Back on Track and Success Habits instructor through Bariatric Support Centers International. In addition, Libby is a bariatric patient and understands the pathway to surgery as well as the lifestyle changes needed for better health and long-term weight loss. She brings great passion to provide support and guidance to the Covenant Bariatric and Metabolic Center and looks forward to assisting patients through all of the phases leading up to and following bariatric surgery.
Rebecca, RN, LDN, CDE
Rebecca is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with over 19 years of experience. She graduated cum laude from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and completed her dietetic internship at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Key in her teaching is the belief that achieving a balanced lifestyle is essential to optimal health.
Marcia, Medical Assistant
Marcia has been working in the medical field for more than 15 years, many of them as a Medical Transcriptionist. She has an Associate's Degree from Great Lakes Junior College. Marcia has joined the clinical side of the practice as a Medical Assistant to Dr. Eyad Wohaibi. She is here to assist patients, answer questions, schedule testing, help with surgery, and help and support patients along their way to achieve successful weight loss.
