Covenant Childbirth Education Hosting Safe Sleep Educational Event

In order to promote safe sleep habits and what safe sleep should look like, Covenant HealthCare is teaming up with the CAN Council to offer this educational event on safe sleep on Tuesday, September 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

“While some of the fluffy crib bumpers, pillows, blankets and stuffed animals look cute, they aren’t meant to have in a baby’s crib,” says Heidi Churchfield, Childbirth Education Coordinator and Community Liaison with Covenant HealthCare. “We want the infants in our community to be safe at all times, including when they sleep, and we are here to help people understand how to do that.”

Attendees can bring their crib bumper pads in and exchange them for a pack of diapers and a sleep sack. Those who attend will also be registered in a drawing for a Pack & Play.

Who should attend the class?
