How technology is making Covenant VNA Home Health Care better than ever
Home health care is expected to grow exponentially as baby boomers age and look for alternatives to traditional assisted living and nursing home facilities. Some experts predict that in the near future, our homes may even surpass medical facilities as the primary site for healthcare. One of the factors expected to make this outcome possible is new technology that makes communication faster and more efficient.
The Covenant Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) provides home care for patients of all ages. This can include individuals recovering from recent surgeries, illnesses, hospitalizations, or patients in hospice care. Covenant VNA uses advanced technology such as infusion therapy and EKGs to bring care into patients’ homes; just a few years ago these might have required a hospice or doctor visit. Additional technology includes our Lifeline Medical Alert service, which allows home care patients to call for help at the touch of a button, and our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, which connects all providers and organizations in our system (physicians, home care nurses, etc.) to your medical record.
This allows your entire care team to have access to the most up-to-date information on your condition.
To continue bringing our patients the most effective care, Covenant always has an eye on new advancements in the industry. Covenant HealthCare looks forward to finding innovative new ways to improve care for all our Covenant VNA patients.
