Hand-sewn Masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Donations
The global demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) has created a severe shortage of PPE across the world. While regular distribution channels ramp up, you can help by making a donation to support our COVID-19 response, including obtaining and producing protective gear for our caregivers.
For those wishing to sew personal use masks, please use the guide below, from the Michigan Health Improvement Alliance.
Face Mask Pattern and Instructions
All donations of hand-sewn personal masks or smaller donations of industrial-grade personal protective equipment (PPE) may be dropped off at the 700 Cooper Front Desk.
Individuals and organizations wishing to make bulk industrial donations of PPE should contact Supply Chain Management at 989.583.4191.
We are so appreciative of a community that is rallying to support patients and healthcare workers during this unprecedented time.
You are extraordinary.
Important note: At this time, personal masks should not replace medically necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) required for isolation patients and other situations. Infection Prevention and Control procedures must be followed at all times. The goal is to support our staff and patients while conserving critical PPE for situations in which it is required.
